I glint my Glint

Everytime i meet someone new
there's one thing i never fail to do.
It may not be the first
but it's done, no matter who.
You see, I think of it like this,
friendship is not about hit and miss.
And so its important really,
to ensure the continuance of bliss,
to carefully look them up and down.
In fact, I look them all around.
I try to find the good things,
and they're not too often found.
Some people call it stupid to
judge by just a 'View Halloo!'
Who cares says me,
as long it turns out to be true?
So watch me when u see me meet
a new person, its pretty neat.
to watch the master
at work at this so-wondrous feat!
The thing to watch is in the eyes
First, curiosity well in disguise.
Then slowly the answer
therein begins to arise.
It is a light of characteristic tint,
though I call it quite simply a 'Glint'.
It means that I'm done,
the Glint gives you a hint!
Of whether the answer is pleasing,
and to my likings appeasing
or ugly and unsightly
or funny or strange or teasing.
There are times when I am wrong.
At least, at first but not for long!
the Glint revises, the Glint
reappears in the way that it belongs!
Oh yes, all this is tried and true.
Really ,would I lie to you?!
After all, as you can see,
right now i'm Glinting at you too!

  1. Really nice!!!
I think I also do the same... not exactly like your "glint"..
but, something does tell me about the new person , I meet.
Suneeti doesn't like me judging people so soon, but its a habit. Something like "thin slicing theory".
As you rightly said, as long as it works, should I really care?

  3. I really liked your blog. Please read below and check out www.furtherthekingdom.com

Would you consider yourself to be a good person? The dictionary says "good" is to be "morally excellent." Let's check the standard--the Ten Commandments, to see how far we fall short: Is God first in your life? Do you love Him with "heart, mind, soul and strength?" Have you made a god to suit yourself? Have you used God's name in vain? Have you kept the Sabbath holy? Have you always honored your parents? Have you hated anyone, and therefore committed murder in your heart? Have you looked with lust and therefore committed adultery in your heart? Have you lied (including "fibs"), stolen (the value is irrelevant), or coveted other people's possessions? If you are honest, you know you will be guilty on the Day of Judgment. God, however, doesn't want to send you to Hell. Jesus Christ suffered and died on the Cross in your place, so you could go free. That's how much God loves you. We broke God's Law, but Jesus paid our fine. Then He rose from the grave and defeated death. If you repent and trust in Him, God will forgive your sins and grant you everlasting life. Obey the gospel today. Read your Bible daily and obey what you read, God will never let you down.
    Thank you

  4. Hi ,

    I was reading ur blog posts and found some of them to be very good.. u write well.. Why don't you popularize it more.. ur posts on ur blog ‘The Purple Pebble’ took my particular attention as some of them are interesting topics of mine too;

BTW I help out some ex-IIMA guys who with another batch mate run www.rambhai.com where you can post links to your most loved blog-posts. Rambhai was the chaiwala at IIMA and it is a site where users can themselves share links to blog posts etc and other can find and vote on them. The best make it to the homepage!

This way you can reach out to rambhai readers some of whom could become your ardent fans.. who knows.. :)

    Cheers,
