Of a stranger in a strange land

No one is here, no one you know
No one is here with nowhere to go
No one is here to sing or to call
No one is here, no one at all
No one is here to ask you to stay
No one who hasn't yet gone away
No one is here to tell or to ask
No one to take a look beneath your mask
No one is here to pass you by
No one to smile and catch your eye
No one to see, no one to hear
No one to take the edge off of fear
No one at all on this cold, hard stone
No one to make you feel less alone
No one is here, no one you know
No one but you, with nowhere to go.

  1. Very nice.. I liked it very much... dont know why! :) You know what, its somewhat like coming to the US here, and you are the only one here... First two days are like this I think! :)) Amidst the unknown!

  4. i wake up one morning and find myself stranded in no man's land... i look around all day and find nothing. I begin to understand that I was what I was only coz of all the things and men and women who surrounded me... I am lost...yet i have some hope... I finally end up feeling lost in the true sense and I wake up! I find everything the same as it was before and i'm left with haunting thoughts of my surreal dream. I would sit in a corner and mumble the words of your poem over n over again :)
